Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Secure your account with two-factor authentication.

What is 2FA?

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security. Even if someone knows your password, they can't access your account without your phone.

Setting Up 2FA

Step 1: Download an Authenticator App

Install one of these apps on your phone:

  • Google Authenticator (Android/iOS)
  • Authy (Android/iOS/Desktop)
  • Microsoft Authenticator (Android/iOS)

Step 2: Enable 2FA

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Click Enable 2FA
  3. A QR code will appear

Step 3: Scan the QR Code

  1. Open your authenticator app
  2. Tap Add account or +
  3. Select Scan QR code
  4. Point your camera at the screen

Step 4: Verify

  1. Enter the 6-digit code from your app
  2. Click Verify
  3. 2FA is now enabled!

Step 5: Save Backup Codes

Important!

Save your backup codes in a safe place. You'll need them if you lose access to your phone.

Backup codes:

  • Are one-time use only
  • Allow login without your phone
  • Should be stored securely (password manager, printed copy)

Logging In with 2FA

  1. Enter your email and password as usual
  2. When prompted, enter the 6-digit code from your app
